Mission Statement:

: The objective of the Stonewall Democrats of Arkansas is to advance equal rights for all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The Stonewall Democrats of Arkansas support the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates who support our mission. The Stonewall Democrats will work to define and implement the platform policies of the Democratic Party at local, state, and national levels to reflect the needs and desires of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community, to promote the election of LGBTQIA+ persons to the office with the Party, to promote the election of LGBTQIA+ candidates to public office, and to work with Stonewall Democratic Clubs across the United States.

The Stonewall Democratic Caucus meets the third Monday of each month via zoom. The monthly presentations focus on various topics – state government, local government and advocacy. Once we get on the other side of COVID we will be more active in the community helping sponsor and volunteer at various Pride events throughout the year. We helped sponsor Black Pride in July, helped sponsor the Virtual Central Arkansas Pride in October, and helped sponsor the first LGBTQIA+ Awards in December. We also support other coalition partners who work for social and racial justice in our state and local communities.
